What are you currently reading?
The first in the Inspector McLean series, this crime novel based in Edinburgh is on the Richard and Judy Summer Book Club 2013 list – see my previous post HERE. I’m about 25% through, and liking what I read so far.
What did you recently finish reading?:
I read this book as part of my “Kid-Lit” challenge I am participating in with my sister. Absolutely beautiful story – if you haven’t read it, it gets a big thumbs up from me. Review to be posted very soon!
What do you think you’ll read next?:
This is another one of those novels I have been meaning to read for ages. It won the Man Booker Prize in 1990, and I’m really looking forward to it. Hoping it doesn’t disappoint as I wasn’t a huge fan of her novel The Children’s Book.
What are you reading this Wednesday? Please feel free to leave your link and I’ll visit you and have a nosey at your books. Happy Reading Everyone!
Happy Reading! I hope you enjoy Natural Causes. I found it ok, but it began to drag.
Thank you Chrissi, looking forward to our review! x

I’ll be interested to see what you think of the AS Byatt. The only one I’ve read (well, partly read) is The Children’s Book and I hated it so much I swore an oath never to read another Byatt. I wonder if you’ll make me change my mind… 😉
I hated The Children’s Book too! Just started it, not too promising so far, but I’ve been told something beautiful will come… hmm.
Whoa … that first cover is intense. My list is at http://katybrandes.wordpress.com/2013/06/26/www-wednesday-june-6-2/.
I really enjoyed it Katy. I’ll just check out your WWW x
I’ve only read Secret Garden from Frances Hodgson Burnett, and that was when I was a kid. I remember next to nothing of it! I really should do a re-read. A Little Princess looks nice, too!
Its a really lovely story Maija, I plan to read The Secret Garden again as well!
Natural Causes eh? Gonna have to look that up and I am looking forward to your AS Byatt review because I have gotten the books at the used bookstore but haven’t tackled them yet. Now I am not so sure… 🙂
It’s going ok so far….I’m finding its taking me really long to read it though!
I guess it doesn’t help that it is super long too! 🙂
What a lovely collection of books. Nice to read eclectically. I tend to be more single-minded. It does get boring though. Thanks for visiting me.
No problem Gwynn, thanks for your return visit!
